FAQ
Can I take days off? What's the sick day policy like?
Of course you can days off, you get to build your own flexible schedule! If you're not feeling well though, please give us a notice in advance so we can work out adjustments fast.
What kind of cleaning tools and supplies should I use?
We don't enforce certain brands, but "quality" cleaning tools and supplies is key. We're not going to ask you to buy a Dyson vacuum, a great working vacuum that does the job is more than enough. You can find an example list of tools and supplies you would need here (hellamaid.ca/tools)
Uncomfortable situations, what happens if there's non-cooperative client or cleaner?
Your personal safety is our #1 priority. We've built a system where we only deal with "good clients" and hire "good people" to join our team. However, if there's ever a 1% chance you're uncomfortable at a job site, you can simply walk out. You can contact us asap about any concerns you have, we have an open door policy.
How do you pay?
We send payments out every Friday via direct deposit for the exact amount of hours you worked that week. You will be using a friendly app that will allow you to clock in and clock out of every job, so we ensure fair pay.
Do I clean alone or with others?
For small jobs or for recurring clients, we like to send one person as this will also help you build a good relationship with the client. For big jobs, you will be working together in a team environment for efficiency.
